Faith Conditioners

 

Faith Conditioner: What is it?
A Faith Conditioner is a faith filled bible verse memorized and repeated daily, in order to condition the spiritual environment of your life.  In much the same way an air conditioner changes the atmosphere of your immediate surroundings, so a faith conditioner changes the atmosphere of your spiritual life. As you memorize and repeat a faith conditioner regularly, it will begin to change your spiritual environment.  If you use them continuously, they will change your life.

How do I use it?
We recommend 3 X 3.  It means to repeat the faith conditioner to yourself 3 times, 3 times each day. You can say them out loud or silently.  Either way, be intentional about doing this three different times during your day.  You might try breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  You may want to put a written copy of the bible verse in obvious places where you will see it at different times throughout your day.  Find a way to remind yourself to repeat the verse three times, three times during your day for a period of two weeks.  Then move on to another Faith Conditioner and repeat the process.

At Westside we are preaching from a different Faith Conditioner every two weeks.  Here is a list of the Faith Conditioners given so far and a brief statement about each one.

What you think greatly determines how you feel and act.  If you think as our world thinks, those thoughts will shape you.  If you think about God and God’s promises, those thoughts will shape you.  Focusing your mind upon God will change you from the inside out.  It will lead you to God’s will for your life.

Statement about Luke 18:27
We all face what appear to be impossible circumstances.  But what is impossible for us is possible for God.  God can help us do what seems impossible.  To have faith is to believe and affirm that truth.  Pray.  Believe in God.  Say, “God is doing the impossible through me, right now!”

Statement about Proverbs 3:5
Trusting God with all your heart doesn’t come naturally or easily.  It requires clear thinking and practice.  We also must remind ourselves that our own efforts or understanding are not enough.  Those who trust in God, do their best and rely on him for the results.  When we constantly look to God we find that God is leading our life. In doing this we find both peace and life.

Statement about I Corinthians 2:9
Do you believe God has wonderful things in store for you?  This text says you cannot see, hear, or imagine all the good and glorious things God has prepared for your life.  Those who love Him; those who trust him; those who put his principles into practice will discover more to life that we dare dream. Can you believe it?  Will you believe it?  If you do, it will make all the difference.

Statement about I Corinthians 5:17

Never be discouraged about yourself.  You may have tried to rid your- self of weaknesses without success.  The truth is you cannot change on your own.  Christ, however, can change you.
Remember that with Christ in your life something has changed.  Rely upon him, not yourself, to change you.  Focus your thoughts upon the fact that his Spirit works within you.  Believe that he is and will make you new.

God created this day.  It is a gift from God to you.  When you understand that, it makes each day exciting and filled with possibilities.  If you don’t, it seems like just another day.  You miss the potential of today.
Since this day is a gift from God to you, joy and gratitude are your natural response.

Your very existence comes from God.  Whether you recognize it or not, your next breath, your next heartbeat, your next moment is a gift from God.  When you learn to live conscious of that reality, you find that you are tapping into the source of life.  Here is the power to live.  Here is the power of strength and hope for all of life’s challenges.  Here is the reason for your very existence.

A Statement About Acts 1:8
Jesus promises us spiritual power.  It is the power to live life successfully and triumphantly.  It is power that comes from the Source of Life; the Holy Spirit.  Through this power we can live as we were created to live.  We can accomplish what we never thought possible. 

The power is given to those who will receive it.  This means to receive Christ and his way, by surrendering our will and life to him.  As we yield our will and ways to his, we find that the power comes.  Sometimes it comes almost imperceptibly.  At other times it comes with force.  To continuously receive Christ’s power, we must daily yield to him.

Where do you look for God?  Do you see God’s power as something at work in the world around you?  Or do you look for God’s power within you?

Jesus reminds us to look within.  He says to stop looking for flashing signs outside of ourselves, but to trust, to believe, to have faith that God’s power

has already been given.  It is through the Spirit at work within us that we will see God’s Kingdom and experience transforming power.  Believe in what has been given you

A Statement About Ephesians 3:20

God’s power is at work within you.  Faith opens the flow of that power.  God’s power can do more than you think or ask.  That is what God wants for you.  That is what God has given you.  Don’t let disbelief hinder the flow of God’s power in your life.  Believe.

“Therefore, I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe you have received it, and it will be yours.”  -  Mark 11:24

A Statement About Mark 11:24

Faith is the key that opens the door to the kingdom of God; especially in prayer. Do you believe in what you pray for?  Can you see in your mind God answering your prayer?  When you pray for something but don’t really expect your prayer to be answered, you stifle God’s power and grace.  When you believe, you release the flow of God’s power.

A Statement About Joshua 1:9

Following God is often not easy.  It takes courage, stamina, and strength.  It may require facing our fears and overcoming them.  To do this we must remember that God is with us.  The Infinite One will never leave and gives us the strength to overcome any challenge or difficulty we encounter.  If discouragement comes, we can confidently proclaim, “The Lord of heaven and earth is on my side!”

A Statement About Isaiah 40:31

 There is a spiritual experience that lifts you above the struggles of life and gives you strength.  It enables you to live life on a different plane.  It fills you with spiritual energy and strength. This spiritual experience comes as you completely and constantly surrender your life and will to God.  It happens as you expectantly wait upon God.  Then God becomes the center and source of your life.  Then God gives you spiritual strength and vitality that overcomes the daily rigors of life.  When our hope is in God alone, we experience a soaring power.
