"Lose 2 Live" Challenge - "The kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit."
Please join us in journey in our "Lose 2 Live" Challenge. The goal of this challenge is not only to lose physical pounds, but also support and encourage one another to a more healthy lifestyle, through a community effort we can achieve. Each week you will weigh in Saturday, on your own. This is all on the honor system. Place amount of weight loss in a container (marked for this). All losses will be added up and each person will donate twenty-five cents per pound. There will be a chart to show our progress. This money will be used to purchase small items for the church. Mon. 7pm-8:30pm, Ongoing. Westside Voices Choir. Led by Jean Stratford, Choir Director. Singing, study, fellowship. All voices, all abilities welcome to join anytime! Choir performs in worship service quarterly and on special occasions.

Wed. 7pm-8:30pm, "Simply the Story" group. Led by Pastor Brian Shimer. Meets at Nicole & Jim Sandman's home.
Wed. 7pm-8:30pm, "M&Ms" We celebrate Miracles with Marbles. Our collection of marbles symbolizes lots of answered prayers and many ways God works in our lives. Each week we celebrate our blessings, share our burdens, and ask Jesus to work new things in us. Then we explore a Bible story, in various creative and interactive ways. We finish with a "current story of awesomeness" -- an example of God doing amazing things in this world, through ordinary people. We have room for you! Please join us. Led by Nancy Miller. Thurs., 7-9pm, ongoing, [ON BREAK DURING LENT] THIRSTY THURSDAYS: "We are thirsting for many things: to become closer to Christ, to become more like Christ and for a little refreshment!"
Group rotates to different homes. Starting new book study 1/10/13: "Christianity and World Religions: Wrestling with Questions People Ask" by Adam Hamilton. The group incorporates fellowship, prayer and study at each meeting. Will also discuss service projects and other social events. Thurs., 6:30pm-8pm, Occasional. Prayer Shawl Ministry: Reaching Those in Need. We crochet and knit shawls and scarves. "Make a Prayer Shawl, Make a Difference." As we crochet or knit, we pray for recipient of the article we are making. If you don't crochet or knit, come anyway. Crocheting lessons and simple patterns available for first timers!!
