Men's Group
The purpose of our Men’s Discipleship Group is to discipline our lives as followers of Jesus Christ. We do this through a variety of activities that focus on Friendship, Service, Study, Worship, and Support. Throughout the year we engage in activities that balance all these areas of our lives.

A disciple is literally someone who “disciplines” his/her life around someone or something. We are all disciples in different ways, disciplining our lives around the things we value. If you are a disciple of football, for example, you discipline your life so you may watch, read about, participate in, and/or follow your favorite football team. This makes you a football “fan”, or in other words, a football “disciple”.

Any man is welcome to join us at any time in our discipleship of The Lord Jesus Christ.

Women's Groups
A support/healing group for women meets on Thursday evenings, 6:30 pm, at the church. The group focuses life’s transitions and changes. Stephanie Harper is the current coordinator.

Women’s Retreats
An annual weekend Women’s Retreat is planned each year to provide spiritual growth and fellowship for women. Women in the church go to a retreat center for teaching, worship, fellowship, and fun. In addition “mini retreats” are planned periodically during the year. Lisa Bodry coordinates the planning team.

Mom’s Group provides an opportunity for moms to connect with and support each other through faith, fellowship, and fun. Childcare is provided during the meetings, though, children are always welcome to join the group in the sanctuary. An open forum of topics ranging from ways to include God in your child’s daily life to immunizations, time management and baby massage are discussed. If you have a little one age 5 or under you are prefect for the group! Expectant moms are also welcome.

Moms also enjoy a monthly “Mom’s Night Out” event. Recent events have included game night and scrapbooking - our favorite munchies are always included in the evening! Childcare is provided.

Retirees
Westside United Methodist Church’s Retirees Group gathers once per month to enjoy a program, lunch, and fellowship. They also participate in mission projects throughout the year. Recent projects have included collecting food and paper products for The Lord's Harvest House, providing toiletries for migrant camp workers and food items for Vacation Bible School participants, donating candy canes for children at Christmas, and mailing Christmas cards to our military. New participants are always welcome!

Fellowship Team Ministry
The purpose of our Fellowship Team Ministry is to reach out with Christ’s love to people of all ages in their time of need. We do this through a variety of activities including providing meals for families during major life events (illness, death, new baby), hospital visitations, rides to doctor appointments, baby sitting help during emergencies, telephone calls and cards providing encouragement and support, assistance during special events such as memorial services, and welcome packets and cookie deliveries for visitors. The group also coordinates the greeters and ushers for Sunday services.

We also wish to provide opportunities for people to come together and bond as a church family through potlucks, BBQ’s, activity groups (ie: craft group, Mom’s group, etc) and retreat experiences (ie: Women’s Retreat and Mini-Retreat). If you have an idea for a group we can support you in its development.
